Reconnect Groups provides social activities and group work for women affected by domestic abuse.
Reconnect offers women a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to relax and meet others, be supported, build confidence and move forward. Activities include getting out for a walk, visit to local coffee shop, talks with guest speakers and art & crafts.
Reconnect aims to improve confidence, develop self esteem and reduce isolation enabling women to develop new skills.
Women are supported to create personal development plans, set achievable goals and access further education and development opportunities. Reconnect provides a forum for women to express their voices and experiences.
Coming to one of these groups is a great opportunity to meet new people, make friends, experience new things, learn about yourself and others, and have fun.
Groups meet in Women’s Aid ABCLN offices in Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne and Newtownabbey one morning each week for 2 hours from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.
This project is funded by The Gallaher Trust.
